Hi guyz,

do we need to be in Canada to received PR card or it will be sent to you overseas? i just watched the PR card video in CIC website and they said that PR Card will be automaticcaly given to new immigrant as part of the immigration process.

You can give a postal address, and it will be posted within Canada. You dont have to be in Canada to receive it.

PR card will be applied when you go to complete your landing formalities. At this point you can give friend/relative address, so they can receive the same. I have read some cases where the IO at POE do not agree to send it to other people address.

As a work around, people have later updated the address online and have successfully received it too. Read it here in the forum.
