Do they award points for each Ielts band separately ?

Hi everybody

if I got threshold in listening , but a high band in writing , do they give me 4 points for listening and 6 for writing ? talking about 2013 proposed plan .. ??

confusing question ? let me explain >> are the points for English only three grades : 16pt - 20pt - 24pt ?
or you may be given 22pt or 18pt for example ?

to be more clear .. do they have to give you same number of points for every branch ?

u have to get 6 points for each section separately to apply FSW in newly proposed plan.

pl help others if i am wrong

actually you need 4 points minimum not 6 point
I think u confused it with thw band 6 in Ielts which is the minimum as a band ( it gives you 4 points in FSWP )

Yes, they do. In order to get the maximum number of points (24) you should score as follows:

Listening: 8
Reading: 7
Writing: 7
Speaking: 7

I don't know if you have already gotten answer to your question elsewhere, but I will tell you my answer anyways. The points are given for each section separately, so you can have any combination of points. For example, you can get 5 points for listening and 6 points for reading depending on your band for each of those sections.
