Guys,

I need help. Those who are PNP and got their passports back with stamping, have u guys landed yet? Do v need to land in the nominated province itself for the first time?

I am a NSNP candidate and I have received PPR for stamping. I may expect the passports in 10 days. I was just checking to book my air tickets for short landing as my Medicals are going to expire on 24th March. I am planning to land in Toronto? Can I do it?

I need your expert comments plz??

TIA,
Shweta

You can land in Toronto, however, it is better you have a connecting flight to your province.

When I landed at Toronto, they asked me when I was planning to go to SK, and I provided the connecting flight ticket/pass.

It is also better you plan to go there and do the necessary registrations such as get an address, health card, bank accounts etc. You can achieve all this within 1 week or so.

So just plan a short holiday to NS!

Good luck!

You should have a connecting flight booked to NS, if you don't that will raise suspicion. There have been reports of PNP candidates that have had their PR canceled because they landed in a different province and could not provide a convincing argument (i.e. did not have a connecting flight) of how/when they'd follow on to their nominating province.

In your case it's possible that you can't get a direct flight to NS, but not having a connecting flight is probably asking for trouble.
