Hi everyone,
I had a question regarding medical exams for Canada immigration, specifically around past surgeries.
I haven’t had any major issues recently, but a few years ago I was dealing with a foot condition that almost required surgery. While researching treatment options at the time, I even looked into foot surgery in Perth when I was working overseas. In the end, it was managed without surgery and I’ve been fine since.
Now that I’m preparing for the immigration medical exam, I’m wondering:
Would really appreciate if anyone here has gone through something similar or has insights on how detailed the disclosure needs to be.
Thanks in advance

Now that I’m preparing for the immigration medical exam, I’m wondering:
- Do you need to declare conditions that were previously serious but are now resolved?
- If someone has had foot surgery in the past, does it impact the medical assessment?
- Are there any concerns if there’s no ongoing treatment or complications?
Would really appreciate if anyone here has gone through something similar or has insights on how detailed the disclosure needs to be.
Thanks in advance
