I had over 50 stamps, mainly to the US. Still, the lady CO went through each and every one (took over 20 min). Even more confusing was the fact that my passport is from a visa exempt country which normally doesn't get stamped at land border crossings. Fortunately, I also had a printout from the I-94 site, which I presented when she said "well, I can't reconcile your entry-exists between your passport and the calculator" (the true feeling was ants in the shape of "FP-RQs" crawling up my spine). The printout saved my day and the next day was DM !!
Moral of the story: Some COs are very dedicated. Next, if you travel like me to the US on a regular basis, at least get a printout off the I-94 site.
