Hey guys. I'm from Brazil and I am currently on a post graduations work permit that will expire at the very end of august. I was a student for a year and got an one year work permit. I did my stage while in school for a company and once I got my PGWP I was officially hired and now I've been promoted.
My boyfriend ifrom quebec and I are applying for common law sponsorship in the next weeks, so for me to be able to work after the sponsorship might take a while, and by then there is a chance that my work permit will expire. I know you can not extend the PGWP, but is there any other modality of work permity that I can request so I can work while I wait for my sponsorship process? I tried to research but it all seems very confusing. I just don't want to loose my job, if I don't have to and if it comes to that.
Is that anything that can be done or I'll have to live with the fact that I wont have a job once my visa expires?
