Do I need to follow what I write on my letter?

Hi! For visitor visa, I mention in my letter I will stay in canada for only 3 weeks but they give me 10 years multiple entry visa, so I change my plan I will stay for 6 months in canada staying on my daughters apartment .does the officer will question me about this?

Of course CBSA will ask the standard questions such as purpose of visit, length of stay , do you have a return ticket and maybe how you will fund. What you had included in your application no longer relevant as it will be upto the CBSA officer at the time of entry to decide how long you can stay.

So how about the return ticket? What if the officer will only allowed only 3 weeks?
