Hello everyone,
I just came to know that April 30 is tax deadline but I was wondering if I have to pay any taxes.
Here is my situation.
I became Canadian Permanent Resident in Nov 2017, landed in Canada in Dec 2017 stayed there for a day and went back to US.
Then I moved to Canada in March 2018.
So, I didnt had any "residential ties" in Canada in 2017.
Question is, do I still have to file any taxes.
I do have "world income" based on my employment in the US for which I have already paid taxes.
Thanks
