Hi there,

I'm going to apply for a Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada.
My partner lives in Canada and I want to live with him together.

The application asks for police certifications if you have lived for six consecutive month or longer in a different country other than your resident country. I did, but I had a work and travel visa for Australia and New Zealand. So I didn't live 6 month or more at the same place while in those countries. I worked only temporarily and then traveled the country. Do I still need police certifications from Australia and New Zealand?

I appreciate your help! Thank you very much. :)

it doesn't mean if you lived in the same location for 6 months, it means if you were in the same COUNTRY for 6+ months.

if you were in australia or new zealand for 6 months or more in the same trip, then you need to supply police records. it doesn't mtter if you were working, studying or traveling. if you were in any country for any purpose and were there for 6 months without leaving, then you need to get a record.

You need one from your resident country too.
