Do I need attested letter of invitation when applying online for visitor visa for my parents?

Hi. I was thinking of applying for visitor visa for my parents online instead of VAC. I wanted to know for the letter of invitation saying that they can stay with me for the visit, do I have to get it attested even when applying online?

No you can just write and upload the invitation letter. Even if you will be supporting them, they must be able to show that they could support themselves during their trip to Canada.
