We just had a baby, and our application has been under process for a while. Naturally we'd like to add our newborn to our application, do we need a new proof of fund to show we can support a family of 3 rather than just a family of 2 as mentioned in our original application?

It is required that you update your file for some reason since your application has not been finalized. If you think you can proof more funds, with any of the accepted documents, that will be great. Though, immigration staffs are aware and have the discretion to consider the impact on your finance by having a new baby. If you're unable to present updated or new (POF) you can still explain in a letter along with the baby birth certificate.
