HI
I have 3 years diploma n 3 years bachelor degree from India. I have also done 1 year post graduation from Canada. So, should I have to go for ECA to get the points for my Foreign degrees.

there is one question in express entry profile "HAVE YOU BEEN AWARDED CANADIAN DIPLOMA OR DEGREE"

What will I answer for this question for my foreign degree?

The help symbol besides the question says you dont need ECA if you are awarded canadain diploma or degree.
So, I have only 1 degree from canada. The answer of this question is yes for all the qualification.

Did you get a DIPLOMA or a DEGREE from your one-year post-grad in Canada? My partner has a 5-year Master's degree from Slovakia, then came to Canada to do 1 year as a special non-degree student at the University of Toronto, and now is finishing the second year of a 3-year Master's program at the University of Toronto. He did have to get his Slovak degree assessed, and it was assessed at the level of a Canadian Bachelor's degree - a little unfair, but what can you do? His THREE years of studying in Canada get no points, because he has not yet earned a degree here. When he gets his degree next year, his points will go up, but until then he is stuck with the points for a bachelor's degree, even though, in truth, he is earning his second Master's, and has completed eight years of post-secondary education.

You have to abide by the rules of the program, so get your degree assessed and only say YES to the Canadian diploma or degree if you have that paper in your hand.

If you have a degree or diploma from 1 year post graduation from Canada, that´s enough. You put Yes to the profile question you mentioned and nothing else to do with ECA. But....if you don´t have a degree or diploma from Canada, then you have to do the assessment for your foreigner degree !!!!!

Hi Dobes
Yes, I am having a canadian post graduation diploma....So, it means I can put yes and I dont need ECA for my foreign degree.
Because If I do yes my points will become 408 and on no it goes down to 378. So i don't want take any chance ...

Better get the evaluation done, extra documents work but under might be harmful. so why take a chace :D
