DLI sent me an email saying that the program was canceled and defer

I got a student visa and a co-op work permit and the program is supposed to start in late April. The school sent me an email saying that the program was canceled in April, and I must postpone it and choose another date or another program, and the available dates start from August 2024. What are the correct steps that I should follow since I am still outside Canada?
