Divorce Before Immigration

Hello,

I have a question.

I applied for a immigration visa when I was single. While the immigration process I married and our immigration visas issued on our passports. Now the things going wrong with my wife and we'll be divorced. So, If we divorced my immigration visa will be canceled?

Assuming it was you who applied for immigration and your wife got her visa based on your application, if you are now separated and in the process of getting a divorce, you should let immigration know just like you let them know when you got married. That means that your wife is no longer a member of the family class and her visa will probably be cancelled but I don't see why your visa would be cancelled because of that.

If you are not sure what is happening with your marriage, that you may separate or may get back together at this point, it would be best not to inform immigration right now as you don't have any hard facts to inform them of. In that case, land on your visa and let your wife decide if she goes to Canada or not.

You are not divorced yet. so, go to Canada (preferably together), land, get your PR card. Whatever happens after that is irrelevant to your status.
But, as a general rule, it is easier to mend broken marriage than to start all over again new family. You lived together, you know what went wrong, and if you work on it to fix it you will have a better family. With new person you may repeat the same mistakes.
