Divorce after landing - prenup

Hello,
if someone has a prenup in their marriage certificate from overseas (Lebanon), will this prenup be valid still in case of divorce after landing in Canada for PR? or will Canadian law take place?
The prenup mentions a sum of USD 20,000 in case of divorce.

This isn't an immigration question. This person needs to consult with a family lawyer in Canada.
