Hi,

I am preparing for visitor visa application for my parents. My mother has different spelling of her name on her Passport (Harjeet) vs my Indian Passport (Harjit). Can anyone tell based on their experience if notarized affidavit (one and same person) would be sufficient for explaining the discrepancy? What can be given as the proof of relationship...I don't have my name on my birth certificate and given my mother's name is spelled differently on my passport, academic documents - would IRCC still accept my passport as proof of relationship in such case? If no, what else can be used as a relationship proof?

Thanks!

I would include a notarized affidavit regarding the name issue, graduation reports (usually Indian has parents names in it), photos together, letters from family (notarized as well), Letter of explanation why the birth certificate is not available, conversation screenshots with mother, father's passport family page (sibling's passport family page as well if you have), any deed or documents shows the relationship, etc.

Hope it helps :)
