Hi there,

I hope somebody can help me with this:

My Colombian fiance has been denied a TRV to Canada twice ( and she happens to have a ten year multiple-entry visa to the US -- she is university educated, a professional, has sufficient income, etc.).

The second time she was denied she was actually invited here, with letter of full financial support, etc., to speak at a well established charity organization in Vancouver, and was again denied. They list seven reasons for denying her which all look standard ( not convinced she will return, insufficient financial supporting information (which is nonsense) and a few other points that are all vague and would make it impossible for Anyone to 'qualify')

Here's my question: She has since gained Italian residency through her sister who is a citizen there.

Now that she has Italian residency, will this make it easier for he to obtain a TRV to Canada?

We are going to get married and will then apply for a visa under the Family Class. But that can take almost a year after getting married, and I would sure like her to see Canada before that happens.

If anyone has any insight into this I would really appreciate it.

Thank you
Shawn
