Different Addresses Question?

We're looking over documents to send to show proof of our relationship/proof of relationship to sponsor and we really want to send our car payment as I think they hold much more water.

The thing is the address on the payment account is our old one and all our paperwork has our new address.

Would that cause issues?

If so, do you think just submitting a phone bill (Cell phone) and shared expense accounts such as our Disney World and SeaWorld annual passes would suffice (since they have the updated address, or if they count as a shared expense. Both our names our on them so that's why I thought they would be good to send)?

Change the address on your car payments. You have to note previous addresses on your personal history form, so an old address on some statements won't be a major issue - provided it is an address at which you both lived. Include the payments as proof, along with the phone bill and shared expenses, and include a note that explains that this is an old address that appears on our personal history form.

Ah, okay. Just worried that they will ask us to force to change the insurance address too...the reason why it's not changed is cause we wanted to save on the insurance cost for another 6 months. We already paid 6 months up front too. It was after a botched moved to Utah so it's been a mess. (We thought we were moving back to that same county but last minute our friend took us in). But thanks for responding. I'll look into this.

Well, to be honest if that's your concern, you're committing minor insurance fraud by telling your insurer that you're living in a different location than you actually are. Should you have a claim and they find out you live elsewhere, your insurance claims will be denied. :S

Like I said we paid upfront prior to knowing we would be changing counties. We weren't even in Utah for 48 hours. Last second we were offered to move to our friends place. I guess I might just have to bite the bullet and pay the difference. This is all pretty recent.

It's not a big deal, really. If the addresses on the car payments and insurance match one of the addresses you've listed in your personal history, it should be fine.

I'm mostly saying that tongue-in-cheek because it's something people do but don't realize the consequences if they have a claim. You're in the US so you know how insurers will do anything to avoid a payout.

Luckily we haven't need to use them yet...so fingers crossed. But okay so cause we have that address as our last address before the current one it should be okay?
