I have a different first name in passport and degree, last name is same. Would that be any issue?
Anyone who has faced this situation?

First Name as per Passport is Syed Arsalan and In degree it is Arsalan
Though last name are same.
I dont think it will be an issue but want to confirm if anyone had sinilar case and all went well.

You need to get a notarised One and The Same Person affidavit.

Sorry but can you elaborate, I have to notarize which document and what should be that affidavit?

Regards

IMO it shouldn't be an issue, as in my case - all my documents bear the same first name barring one degree certificate which has my mom & my first names listed as 'First' name. So after I had my ECA done, WES had just left a comment regarding the above on top of my ECA report.

Ok, but for me all my degrees have First Name: Arsalan, whereas Passport, IDS, Job Contracts Its Syed Arsalan
You know the part of the world where I come from, Syed is more of an initial.

Google "One and the same person affidavit format". There are many available online.

Basically, it's just a declaration, that you write yourself, which says that the names XXX YYY ZZZ and YYY ZZZ are variations of the same name (no legal name change has taken place), and both names belong to the same person.

You then take it to a notary public or a lawyer, and you sign the declaration in front of them.

Perfect thanks, I google and found several formats. Best is to go to any local lawyer and they will do it for you. Will be doing that in a week.
