I submitted a work permit application through CIC online, my skill category is A and my employer is LIMA exempt - hence I should be eligible for 2 weeks processing time. The only issue is I didn't know at the time of submission that I was supposed to submit my medical upfront.
I am based in the UAE so I am guessing my visa is being processed in Abu Dhabi office. Abu Dhabi visa office are incredibly slow in responding (~28 days + ) to respond to an inquiry.
I am hoping someone with experience could help:
1. Can I attach my medical exam now?
2. It's been 4+ weeks since I submitted my application, exceeding the 2 weeks processing time, does this mean the visa will be processed in 22 weeks as the regular processing time?
It's tricky because I would have to change my plans if I'm looking at 5 months instead of 2 weeks!!
The status online shows "we are reviewing your eligibility, etc.
