Did not get an offer letter but got accepted

I got accepted into an university in canada
The website confirmed that i got admitted
But when i checked my emails i did not find any letter of acceptance
What does it mean?

they usually don't issue official offer letter unless you request one. Happened to me as well. I had to ask my university a number of times for official offer letter so I can apply for study permit.

Wow university of Calgary I also applied to that school maybe they gave you a conditional admission as you have not fulfilled all requirements in my own case I think you need a final admission letter by the way are you going for an undergraduate degree

Im seeing that everyone needs to have a GIC account or money in a canadian bank

Yes from Bangladesh. For us we don't have that requirement. Unless they changed the rule for BD applicants. I didn't even know what GIC is until I joined this forum. So far, none of BD applicants need to do GIC. We have other hurdles though.

They most certainly do. They will send you an email, a postal letter, or something to tell you that you have been offered admission, deadlines for deposits, and the like.

They don't just stay silent and wait for you to guess.

In my case they didn't. No official offer letter was provided but only an email saying I was accepted. When I asked for offer letter they said I don't need one. I insisted on one because I needed to apply for study permit. Can show you proof

The email saying you were accepted was your offer letter.

I know but we still require [by VFS] an OFFICIAL offer letter while submitting application. They won't accept email. Been there, done that, caused bit of headache!

Im always worried what if my visa gets cancelled
Did u write an SOP?
If u did what did u write there
I mean I've heard a lot of people getting rejecting just because the officer cannot believe that we will leave the country
Im applying this may hopefully
But im not able to understand what to write there
And my agent says SOP is not necessary
Property and bank balance bla bla r enough
