Did gckey apps get updated on weekends? It'll be the first weekend since travel restrictions have been lifted

Not really, if you applied for a study permit and your case is being processed in Edmonton or Canada, then weekdays only.

Not sure I understand your question... But if you're wondering whether an update on an application can happen during the weekend... Then the answer is yes. I got my OPR on a Friday which is a weekend IN Abu Dhabi.
