SALAM SENIORS!
IS THERE ANY LAW LIKE THAT PERMANENT RESIDENT COUPLE SHOULD LIVE TOGETHER 1 YEAR AFTER LANDING ?
IF LANDED IMMIGRANTS WANT DEVORCE WHAT SHOUD BE DONE?
THANKS

No - there is no such law. If you want to divorce after landing in Canada, you can divorce.

If the marriage is less than 2 yrs u cant divorce oif its more u can if u divorce u cannot file for ur next partner assuming ur next patner is nt a citizen or pr holder

Rember they are fighting against marroage fraud and all pr are renewed after every five years.

never heard of this before dear......U can divorce if u are not compatible....not necessary to wait for 2 yrs.

As per renewal of ur PR visa.......the eligibility is to stay in Canada for 2 yrs out of 5.

Its nowhere written that ur PR would be renewed only if ur partner is wid u.

To qualify to apply for citizenship you must have lived in Canada for three out of the last four years.

Wrong. This rule does not apply to FSW applicants. It only applies to scenarios where a Canadian citizen or PR has sponsored their spouse through the family sponsorship program. They can still divorce. However the person who was sponsored cannot sponsor anyone through the spousal sponsorship program until five years have passed since their landing.
