Again, I'm on a roll! ::)

Always hoping my posts help more than myself.

I've turned my Sponsored Spouse Questionnare form into how it should look, actually answering the questions asked and not writing a novel for each one. For my Development of Relationship however (question 9), I have 2 things going on here. The first, is a relationship timeline highlighting milestones in our relationship from Dec 1999 when he was brought to the US to my future trip in August, each just a sentence stating the facts. That's about a page and a half.

Then I have a 12 page "letter" (I'm sure "novel" is better applied here...) immediately following the timeline, better explaining various things such as: trips, wedding, etc. It's long, but they can skip it if they want, I have all the facts in the timeline and on the forms.

Which leads me to my next inquiry. If I'm pouring my heart out into this development of relationship bit, why am I providing an additional letter of proving our love is genuine? He, the sponsor, has one. I think I did it already. Has anyone else had this experience?

Haha I don't feel so bad now. I included a 12 page 'novel' too about our relationship. I can't help that I have a bad habit of rambling. ::)

Since we filed inland and the forms are different, I can't relate exactly but I included our letter of development at the end of the questionnaire for the part that asks to include anything we feel proves we are genuine.

However if we filed inland, I would have put that letter behind the form that asked for the development of the relationship. Then I would have included a letter of our love and etc. at the very end of the questionnaire where it asks to include what you think proves you are genuine. Then either attach the sponsor's letter there as well or at the end of the sponsor questionnaire.

Not sure if this was the type of answer you were looking for but I tried to answer to the best of my opinion. Hope it helps.
By the way, I can't wait to celebrate with you when you send off your application. :D

Who's been giving you those negatives?? You've been nothing but helpful and kind! Thank you so much, as always. Your posts have really given me insight, and I've been frequenting this board since last year this time! Everyone always does, I'm constantly learning. Mine turned out to be 11 pages.

I was planning on putting everything behind the form... makes the most sense to me. As for the end letter, I will just throw a little something there I suppose!

I will be sending it off... by the end of this week!! :D

dammit, a timeline - now why didnt I think of that!

good call. We are writing a narrative each - using the same headings, but written seperately by myself and the gf. I was a bit worried about my application coming across a bit one sided.

Oh my gosh 12 pages!
I only have 2 pages that explains our 'continuing relationship' :( I dunno what else I should add though.. I've pretty much summarized what my husband I have had in our almost 4-year relationship. Hmm.. guess I should take a look once more..

I didnt write an extra letter..I answered each question as needed..for Q6- I added an additional page to answer the Question better as I didnt have enough space and Q9 I wrote an 8 page novel of our relationship from the time I came back to Canada on my second visit.which was the real start of our relationship!

My Husband wrote an additional letter in his words..Then I added a 2 page narrative of our wedding that I had actually written for myself to preserve our memories the day after the event and was not intended for Immigration at all but felt it was good proof of our commitment for each other! I also added in a copy of our daughter birth story..Again was written 3 days after she was born in 2006..not meant for Immigration but another proof of our commitment as Tim was by my side for 3 days and HATES hospitals and blood but was there with me every step of the way..as it was written for my own memories I think it was written "as things were" at that time and so any feelings didnt seem false!

Its hard to explain but I found when I was trying to answer some of the questions especially Q9 I was aware of how important my answer is and found it hard to write freely and put emotions into my answer! I was second guessing myself and was conscious of the fact that an IO may have thought it was false! Did anyone else find this?

My Relationship development/history was 84 pages long with photos of the last 13 years.
Then my husband/sponsor included a 2 page 'note' about our relationship and I also did a 2 page 'note' about it.

I think it's always better to over give information, than to doubt it later.

Aww thanks so much. I really don't know where they have come from but I don't much like them. Lol.
And what you are planning to do sounds very good.

Yay good luck. I cannot wait for you guys. :) Let me know the day you do so I can send some hugs and extra good luck your way.
Don't forget to seal your application with a kiss and a good luck wish. Seems to work for me.

Wow... 84...

For me it's 18 pages of photos, 8 pages of the "novel" (my soon-to-be wife and sponsor wrote this one) and 2 pages of our relationship timeline. So in total that's 28 pages... I honestly thought we had too much... But then again, we're only in our 3rd year together. :) So that's about 9 pages per year times 13... that's 117. :)

Wow, I am now doubting my application

We gave them what they asked for. No additional pages (other than my husband's whereabouts and school/work timeline since he was 18) to the application.

We included about 15 pages of photos in colour done in microsoft office with 2-4 photos per page with dates and places, a few scans of cards we had sent, some ticket stubs to verify we were at events from the pictures, a ton of e-mails, phone bills, and that is about it.

Our lawyer said even what we gave her was too much (I gave her every phone bill from when we started dating to present and about 3-4 e-mail samples per month since Jan 2009 and then a screenshot of my inbox with all his e-mails). So she said she would only send what was needed, so in the end....I don't even know what made it out in the end.

Oh I really hope I don't get screwed over in the end.....*sigh*

All my GF and I did was answer the questions, we did have an additional sheet to question 9 but it was not an essay declaring love we stuck strictly to facts only about the relationship. We had around 20-30 pictures, pages of letters, emails and phone bills from when we were apart. The facts spoke for themselves I guess.

I sent an e-mail asking, but I am really not too concerned, we have copies of all the important stuff and I know she sent in all the pictures and scans. Just how many e-mails and phone bills, no idea, but I do know some were sent in.
