Hi all,

We're looking for details on how to prove ties to your home country when crossing into Canada (with the hopes of obtaining a visitor's visa).

1. family members in your home country
- do we simply just state their names and relation to you? Do we need contact information like addresses and phone numbers typed up?
or do we need to go as far as getting other proof?

2. letter from family member(s) stating the person can live with them and be supported by them
- notarized? or perhaps a name & contact info on the letter would suffice?

3. bank statements proving you have the money to return home
- self explanatory

4. a letter from an employer stating you will have a job if you aren't let into the country
- self explanatory

any other suggestions?

Thanks everyone!

Stephanie and Courtney

these are good enough i guess
other suggestions could be
- return ticket (if possible)
- rental agreement(if you have one)

you can provide, university admission letter, rent agreement, leave letter from current employer, property on your name, any fixed deposit or investments

So how would we prove family members in the USA? Just their names, addresses and phone numbers on a typed up sheet?
