I was at the airport during immigration check he scanned my passport and found someone reporting me of collecting his money without delivery of the goods which I did not know of because I only worked with an auto spare part trading company. They detained me for 30days and later took me into an office for biometrics and eye scan then Deported me.
You can always apply, you must disclose your deportation to avoid a ban.
You might want to explain the reason, I dont think Canada will find your deportation an issue under those circumstances.
