Hi,

My husband is a Canadian citizen working in the US on H1 visa and I am on dependent visa. If he gets a job in Canada. Is there a dependent visa on which I can go along with him. We checked the permanent resident route. But for that we will have to be in different countries. Can any one throw light on how I could go along with him.

Thanks.

No - there is no dependent visa for spouses of Canadian citizens.

If you wish to live with him in Canada then he should sponsor you for permanent residency. More information in the first post here:

Your alternatives are finding a job yourself so that you can qualify for a work visa, applying for a tourist visa (if you are non visa exempt) that would allow you to visit if approved - and possibly coming on a student visa although that's an expensive option.

scylla is right (there is no dependant visa for spouses to lives in canada) your spouse can sponsor you as their is not other way !
