Dear Experts,

I need some input on completing my visa application form. In form there's a section to specify family member details.

Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself
and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

Important
You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether
they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family
members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be
able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.

Currently I'm planning to shift to Canada with my wife but after sometime I will call my parents too. In future, my siblings can also use my residency status to claim points if they wish to relocate to Canada.

Now do I need mention everyone's detail in the form like (my parents, siblings, their spouse and kids) and if so, then do I need to show funds also accordingly?

Would really appreciate if someone can guide me with this step.

Your family people means only the following people who are directly related to you: spouse, children, parents and siblings. No one else.

Thank you for the feedback autumnsummer71.

So does it means that If I mention their name in the application form, even though they are not accompanying me to Canada now but still I need to show proof of funds for them?

I understand that my questions may sound little weird but just wanted to be sure with everything. :-)

I don't believe that's correct. In the part you mention, you would list only yourself, your spouse, and dependent children. There is another place on the application where you mention parents and siblings. You need proof of funds for yourself, your spouse, and any dependent children, whether or not they are coming with you to Canada. That's all the family you need to list there.
