Dear Members,

I have a doubt and I'll be highly obliged if anyone of you can put some light on it.

1. I need to apply for FSW 2013 and in there I need to declare dependents in the Generic Application form (IMM 0008). Do I need to specify my all family members i.e. Father, Mother, brothers, In Laws etc or only spouse is enough? I am married and I don't have a kid.

2. If I don't declare any dependent other than spouse on IMM 0008 form then on Additional Family Information Form (IMM 5406) I need to declare my parents, Brothers and sisters. My question is should dependent information in both the forms IMM 0008 and IMM 5406 should be consistent or if I can declare parents in brothers in IMM 5406 and not in IMM 0008?

Please let me know your thoughts and I'll be highly grateful. Thanks.

1. you need to specify yourself and your spouse.
2. You have to make 2 seperate Additional family info form, one for you as applicant and the other for your spouse as applicant, you and your spouse need to declare your parents and sibling in this form.

Thanks rawdah,
I really appreciate your response.
For #1 the Guide 7000 states that "You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.".

My question is that If I don't declare my parents in IMM 0008 then would I be able to sponsor them in later stage (once I'll be in Canada)?

Thanks for help.

As per instruction guide
Your family members include your spouse or common-law partner, your dependent children and any children that are their dependent children.

I´m still not clear, I beg you a most clearer answer, you must include dependent parents/grandparents on the basic (first main application) yes or not?, or... only your close circle (spouse, child) in your main application and then your parents/grandparents later in the future if you wish?.

Parent/grandparents are NOT dependents. NO - you do not include them on this form.
