I applied for PR for my dependent son (5 months old) on December 4, 2025. I have not received any update or AOR yet. May I know how many months it is currently taking for a dependent child to get PR?
It’s impossible to receive biometrics letters and medical requests without getting an AOR first. You probably received the AOR email but didn’t see it, maybe because it went to your spam folder or something like that. The AOR email does not contain any attachments (such as a letter or document from IRCC). It is a simple email stating: “This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)”, and it includes the UCI and application number.
