Dependants, Family members etc. Form questions

Im starting to fill out the forms that the information isn't going to change (inevitably they'll update the form by the time we're ready to submit, alas).

I think I've got most of the forms figured out, but I get confused with where i'ms upposed to be included on some of them.

I am the sponsor, and neither myself nor my husband have any children.

For the applicant documents, I get confused. Example, int he generic application form, it says "You must provide the following details about each of your family members..." etc, and says spouse. But then later in the sentence it says who are not already permanent residents, but I don't know if it means spouses or kids. Do I, the sponsor, count there, or does my husband have no dependents?

Also, for the additional family information form, am I entered there under spouse? I take it we have to add his parents and sister, but do I go on that form?

Who should be included in this application?

If you are being sponsored as a member of the family class, your spouse or common-law partner (except where your spouse or common-law partner is the sponsor) must be included in your application as a family member.

As the sponsor, you are not a family member for the purposes of this application.

You are not listed as a dependent on IMM0008. As he has no dependents, your husband can just remove that section.

You are listed on the Additional Family Information form, as that has nothing to do with being a dependent or being included in the app.

Hokay. So for example in the generic app form, "how many members including you are in this application" will only be 1, himself. And I'm listed as a family member pretty much solely in the 'additional family information' form, but I don't have to also submit one of these for my own family info? (it says 1 per family member)

Can you please tell me what the number of this form is. Because my entire package got returned because if this - which is a high delay for me right now, and am so confused

The generic app form is IMM 0008, the Additional Fam Info is IMM 5406

Ok so in my case I'm the sponor and my husband who lives outside does have a children born and living in Canada ???? (From his previous marriage) Does he include this child who is already a Canadian Citzen on this form. My entire package got send back today for a simple one page form, that I assumed was N/A. (The additional family form) . So before I send it off again I need to be sure of this form too- thanks for helping

The Additional Family Information Form IMM 5406 is for additional family - that is, it is the one form where CIC does want info about family other than the family members who are being sponsored. So the sponsored person lists his or her spouse or partner, his or her parents, his or her children, and all of his or her siblings - even if these people are not being sponsored, and even if they are already Canadian.

Question: does hubby have to add his Canadian born Son who lives in Canada on his IMM 0008. ????? I think it's states this: "only state those who are not already permanent residents or citizens of canada"
So in my case I am assuming he doesn't have to include his canadian born son who lives in canada on this form (IMM 008)

Yes, he must list his child on IMM5406 regardless of citizenship. Why did you assume that this form did not apply? Nowhere in the guide is it stated that it is an optional form. It is a mandatory form for every single applicant.
