Check this(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...onditions-extend-your-stay-canada-worker.html) to apply for OWP you have to do before the status expires. Did you tried applying for TRP (Temporary resident permit) because I am not sure how you will be inside Canada as your status has been expired and even if you apply for sponsorship the initial 53 days will be taken for the sponsorship evaluation and how you have planned to be inside Canada that day long without status?

OP does NOT need to apply for a TRP. She needs to apply for Restoration of Status. Again, you need to read the thread before you post.

I am looking for option Canuck, and Yes I read the thread. Her restoration of status has been declined can she still apply for OWP after the her expired status?

OP has not said anything about Restoration being refused. She has stated that her visitor extension was refused and her status expired on the 5th.
