Hello everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea how long the embassy of Canada in the Philippines keep their records of denied visa applications? Simply put, how long must be the gap between visa denial and re-application? 2 years back, I had the chance to get an approved LMO from an employer in Alberta, Canada, but I was denied when I submitted my papers to Canadian Embassy in the Philippines. Now, I am planning to re-apply, but I am now in Malaysia. Is there any chance that my previous application from Philippines be checked if I apply in Malaysia?

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Yes, the refusals are kept on CAIPS/GCMS. So if you "lie" about the refusal, probably 2 years bar for misrepresentation.

Re: DENIED WORK PERMIT APPLICATION TO ALBERTA, CANADA

hi PMM!!

Thanks a lot! So what do I do now? Since they have records of refusals, does it mean they will always refer to the previous refusal record, and chances are slim of getting approved on my next attempt??

How must I deal with this? At the time of my application, it was clear that the reason for denial was because I overstayed my Schengen visa. Now I am starting anew. And 2 years have passed since the denial. Don't I stand a better chance this time? I am holding a Professional Visa in Malaysia currently, and I have reconnected with the same employer in Canada who processed an approved LMO for me 2yrs back.

What do I do now? It was both traumatic and heart-breaking for me. Would I still take another chance of re-applying? PMM, is there somebody -- or do you know somebody -- who can guide me through this, or at least advise me how and what to do with the paper works?

Thanks again! You guys are heaven-sent!

Records are kept for lifetime and more.
I am not very sure but your passport shall have the same record too. So if you apply to another country than they too can have the info.
If you feel confident enough that your papers are alright than you should apply.

Thank you ::nano24482::!!

so it means i should stick to the same data i had submitted previously and just update some valuable particulars accordingly?

I don't know the exact details so cannot advise, but take care of some things when putting up a new file.

1. Make sure that the information provided matches with your earlier application.
For eg if you claimed that you had an engineering experience than you should not put managment experience(at least for that period), similiar for studies, etc.
2. Go through your earlier documents and forms and the refusal letter and improvise on points mentioned for rejection.

Hope that helps.

Nano24482, thank you very much!

I will keep your advise in mind!!

Another question in mind that's bugging me is this: will the reviewing officer still put weight on the shengen visa i overstayed in making decision for my re-application? or will they review my re-application on the merits of the new circumstantial proofs i have now?

i am not a diploma holder, so my job jumps from an admin.assistant to hotel worker to stewardess, spanning the asia-pacific region all the way to europe and now im back to asia .. i was issued a professional visa here in malaysia on the merits of my working experience than on my educational background .. and my LMO for alberta is a non-skilled position (kitchen crew) ..

i'm wondering too if my personal (being single and constantly traveling outside of the Philippines) and "professional" circumstances are also "trigger" factors or redflags???

:(
