Delays in OCI or Indian Passport Surrender due to current situation

Not sure if this is right thread to ask, but does anyone believes that current situation between India-Pak can cause delays in OCI and Indian Passport surrender process. (I am OCI applicant since 27 Feb from Montreal)

I don’t believe so. My child’s OCI was sent in on April 7 and I can see from OCI website that there was active processing on it from May 4-9 with various status changes. And it was dispatched by New Delhi last week and received in Canada late last week. So my personal anecdotal experience says not much. YMMV.

I am going to apply for my daughter and we booked our tickets. I am in a dilemma. Should I apply OCI or e-visa. Please help me.
