Delays in Los Angeles Visa Office?

Applied online for a study permit with spouse (open work permit) while living in California (LA Visa Office). The website said processing time is 5 weeks in LA. It's been nearly 8 weeks now and while the system shows medical as "passed" we haven't gotten a decision. Anyone else facing delays from LA consulate?

I had applied while I was in Arizona on April 14th and still has not received any decision yet. I believe my application is being processed in LA office as they replied to my inquiry over a month ago!

Mine has been almost 6 weeks. I contacted LA office and they told me my online application is in queue to be reviewed by visa office. I assume the processing time reported in the website is completely incorrect.
