I believe that these security checks are done before medicals so I dont think delaying in PPR is due to travel history.

Ok,, you have a point there.

Just trying to figure out what is causing delays in PPR. Schools resuming soon and not looking forward to pay fees here any more

I have noticed that there are lot of cases of people who have done Medicals in July and August and waiting for PPR. I am also waiting for PPR with medical done on 27th July. I suggest you pay the fees and go to Canada next year (Kishtiyaan jala ke janne ka koi faida nahi canada main)

Yeah, I guess so.. Its just crazy all the delays in getting PPR.

I did medicals on 23rd July and nothing since then.. There was a fellow that had medicals done on 27th and has PPR already.
There in no pattern to what they are doing anymore.
Guess I will just keep waiting.

I did medicals on 18th of march and didn't get ppr yet, today I received an email from my VO today asking me to send my passports bio pages, height and eye color for each family member
I think its better to enroll your kids in the school, it might take some time

Hello Ayobunmi,

There is no pattern to what they are doing anymore in ACCRA. The best approach is to go on with your life and keep praying for God's favour. I did my medical in May,Paid RPRF in May. Medical result updated exactly 2 weeks after. Get 3 lines on ECAS and till now no email for additional documents and no PPR.
In this Whole Application process I see God teaching me PATIENCE and How to wait for his perfect Timing.

Friends,

Can anyone plz let me know if there is certain validity requirement for international passport for visa stamping?

Do we have any CIC rules like " International passport should remain valid at least for 6 or 12 months after the date when immigration visa expires"?

Thanks,

Ok, thanks for the advise. I guess i should just continue with my life until I get the update.

Thanks

Sisi Mee,

that is a very long time ago.. I guess I should just rest my mind and move on until I get a response from Accra.

Thanks for the advise

Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months before you can send it in for the visa.

Hope this helps

@Sisi mee, the Lord that has started this will complete this. Just keep the faith!

Hi everyone,

This is a great forum.

Below is my case. Please share your thoughts if you have come across something similar.

My visa office should have been Delhi but due to high processing demands there it was moved to Warsaw, Poland. My medicals were updated on 20 May 2015 (TLU). Three weeks back I wrote an email to Warsaw enquiring about my case and the next day they replied saying "file has been transferred to our office in Delhi and they will make the final decision. Received all the documents and background checks are ongoing"

So it seems my file has been sent back to Delhi (but why?) and, of course, background checks (I hope they mean security checks) are in process.

Does it mean now I am going to hear from Delhi for PPR mail or is it Warsaw who will continue? And how many more months will be added to this?

Hi

I got PPR after 4 days of my marriage
I requested for family change online

Submitted PP. Got visa stamped.

After 10 days, Got a reply to send all the docs/forms related to spouse along with my Original Passport for cancellation of existing visa
Submitted everything on 20th May

Got MR of spouse on 1 June
Submitted Medicals on 7th June.

Waiting since then......My Original passport is still with them

My Existing Visa was valid till 17th Nov 2015
Will they give me a new expiry date with new visa or same expiry day ?????
