Hi

I got PPR after 4 days of my marriage
I requested for family change online

Submitted PP. Got visa stamped.

After 10 days, Got a reply to send all the docs/forms related to spouse along with my Original Passport for cancellation of existing visa
Submitted everything on 20th May

Got MR of spouse on 1 June
Submitted Medicals on 7th June.

Waiting since then......My Original passport is still with them

My Existing Visa was valid till 17th Nov 2015
Will they give me a new expiry date with new visa or same expiry day ?????

So sorry reply is coming late, but the VO will give a new visa that will have new expiry date.

Am sure by now you have received back your passport.

Do let us know

Truth is no one knows when the PPR will come. It has been really slow in all Visa offices, but we are hoping that they will start issuing PPRs this week.
I had medicals done 23rd July and upadted 31st and am still waiting

I completed my medicals a month ago and am yet to get TLU, I have asked from the hospital and they assured me it has been forwarded. Is this normal as there is nothing indicating completion? Please enlighten me.

Hi guys, just to clarify the belief that AVO is 'slow'. The thing is AVO like all VOs around the world are delaing with staffing challenges. At the same time, AVO deals with many classes of visa applicants not just FSW. The government has mandated the VOs to place emphasis on Express Entry as this is the model they want to justify its success. Then this is admission season for tertiary schools abroad and so, attention has shifted to those requiring school visas. Let's not forget the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East which has seen the whole world's attention shift to extending refugee status to migrants from the affected countries.

With these in mind, it is better you re-channel your energies towards to come here and not just 'waiting for PPR'. I've been down that road too and understand what you may be experiencing. Some parents have the choice to home school their kids and avoid paying new school fees which is what I did. When that PPR finally comes, you will realise you wasted valuable time in not getting your affairs in order.

In all things, give thanks. God will bless all exactly as He ordained things :)

Thank you so much for this..

I guess I need to make some changes and shift focus to more important things.

This is really appreciated.

Well said PH, I worry less with AVO now at this stage, rather i'm doing my reseach on where to live when I land, checking tickets options most importantly started looking at things I need to dispose off before leaving. Infact I got a good offer to sell my car this week and i'm about selling it may be next week, my wife will still retain her own car so that will not be under pressure when the time come to sell it.
