Delay in Online Family Visitor Visa application from India

Hello
We are from India, we applied for visitor visa online on 07-Jun-2018 - with valid US visas (visiting family - son) - with all supporting documents including Invitation letter and support of funds in Canada.
Apart from acknowledgement of application & confirmation of all documents in order, not heard anything yet on the decision of Visas.
We only received an interim email after a month, that application is under processing & no status change ( from what shows online).
As per my online status - all documents are in order and status shows 'In Processing'
It is now 7 weeks plus, since online application. Normally it should be taking about 28 working days for processing and quicker for valid US Visa holders.
Seeking any updates and suggestions of ways to follow-up with Visa office.

I applied here in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia on June 8. today I got the approval letter.

so I think you have to be patient.

Processing can take several weeks or months depending on the specifics of the application. Also, it is not necessary that US visa holders will get expedited processing.

You can send a IRCC web form to request for early decisions

CAN+ If you have travelled to Canada in the last ten (10) years or
currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa and can
provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of the valid visa),
no proof of financial support is needed:"
We have travelled to the US 3 times in the past 10 years. I have also travelled widely to other countries. We have still provided some financials - majorly investments as well as supporting docs from our Son with an invitation letter.
Though we know there are other aspects considered.
Yes, intend sending a Case specific enquiry on the webform this week end after completion of 8 working weeks.

yes, I contacted them 1 week ago.

CAN+ processing must be requested. Alternatively, the visa office can decide whether or not to process an application under CAN+ even if not requested.

That said, there is no assurance that an application will be processed under CAN+ even if someone has visited Canada in the last 10 years or has a valid US non-immigrant visa.

As processing has already exceeded the estimate published on the IRCC website, you can request for expedited decisions. Don't wait until eight weeks has passed

We will be sending a request on the webform tomorrow. However, I understand that for Online applications - may be processed by any Visa office - how do we know which Visa office is processing our application? - as that is one of the questions in the query form.

Do select the local visa office that processes applications for your state/city.

For example: If you live in West/South India then select the Bangalore visa office

By the way, after posting our queries on web-form, we both got a response y'day stating there were no updates to our accounts after our last login check.
Further got an email from Canada Bangalore immigrtn office this morning, stating our applcn is processed by New delhi & they have forwarded our queries to that office.
Surprisingly this afternoon we received another email stating there were updates / msg in our account & we checked - that the 'VISAS were APPROVED', Requesting passport for stamping.
So as per this they are processing in 2 months - exactly 07th Jun - 7th Aug.
