Hi All,

I was granted PR in Canada under the Family Class stream in 2010. When i submitted my application in 2009, I declared my daughter as non-accompanying dependant. She qualified as dependent at the time of my application.

Now at 28 years old, she wanted to come and join me and my family here in Canada. Can she still apply for PR under the family class stream?

How is this done if so?

Thank you for your help.

No - unfortunately she cannot. She is now too old to be sponsored under family class.

If she wishes to immigrate to Canada, she will have to qualify on her own through one of Canada's economic immigration streams. Info can be found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp
