Hello,

We received decision made and a mail was sent out over a month ago (confirmed address was correct by calling CIC) but it appears the mail got lost. We talked to CIC and they said my wife's status was approved but we need to e-mail them and tell them we never received the mail. They also said we can ask in the email to change mailing address (from NYC to Toronto).

However it says in the auto reply this can take up to 20 days. Do we have any other options? Also in the e-mail it says to provide Application Number. Does anyone know what this is? I have Client ID.

Is this decision made for the principal applicant or for the sponsor? If it is for the principal applicant then you have received sponsor approval,. Look at your sponsor approval letter and it will have a barcode. Beside the barcode will be a number like F000123456. That is your application number.

It's been over 2 weeks and we have not heard back from CIC. Has anyone else had this kind of experience where the mail got lost? Called several times and all they say is to send e-mail to them. Why isn't there an option for me to pay for expedited mail or something?

Now even though on the phone they told us PR is approved, it means nothing without the approval letter. How long do we have to wait before they send another one?
