we have sent our baby's medical n pp recently n today we got an email from vfs to call them as they need some additional docs for our daughter. We have sent everything including her birth certificate. Now vfs is closed till monday. I am very worried since we dont know What they require at this point. Seniors please comment. We have everything at stake n we are worried if this has to do something with her medical.

My Dear,
if you have sent processing Fee, medical report, PP, birth certificate and Photos there will not be any problem. They only want to clarify the the case of your new member. if you have not sent, now you need to send.

Target...
Yes, we have sent all that. The birth certificate indicates that she is our new born daughter. What other than that should they need? When you say they only want to clarify the case of your new member, do you mean that this has happened with anyone before or is does it usually happens this way?

I also have a new baby. we also submitted the docs like yours. ultimately, we got all complete visa and COPR.
As per my knowledge and experience, you need not worry.

[/quote]I called them today and they said that I should contact Consulate General of Canada, Chandigarh to know what all documents I need to send. I have emailed them as well but don't know when will they reply. The process is getting longer and longer. Also Govt. offices are closed today in many parts of punjab.

hi

I just checked ecase status and it was "Decision Made".

Also, just received 5 minutes ago the below email.

"Dear applicant,

Please be advised that the passport for Faisal Ahmed is expired. Please send a copy of your new passport to our office.

As well, we have noticed that your medical results will expire on 29 May 2014. If you do not have a new passport and/or if you are unable to travel to Canada prior to 29 May 2014, you and your family members will need to undergo new medical examinations (you should receive an email to this effect in the coming week) and submit newly issued Police Certificates for Pakistan.

Sincerely,

Immigration Officer - RB

Ambassade du Canada | Canadian Embassy"

I am opting for re medical because it is not possible for me to land in Canada before May 29, 2014. Can any body please tell that after visa issuance in how many months I will have to land in Canada?

Regards

Faisal

Important notes about Visa and Passport validity
You should ensure that everyone in your family has a passport valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the most recent full medical examination. Visas can only be issued to a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of your most recent Immigration Medical Examination (IME) assessment. (If your family has medical examinations on different dates, the validity of your visas will be 12 months from the date of the first assessment). If any one of your passports will expire before 12 months from the date of the medical examination, your visas will expire on the date of the first passport to expire. If your passports will expire soon, it is in your interest to obtain new or updated passports to ensure your visas are issued with maximum validity.

Does this mean that my newborn will not have a validity of one year from the date of her medicals? We are planning on leaving her in India for now. Our medicals expire in the first week of June.

Hi, guys.

I've just received Decision Made on my status in E-CAS.
It is really amazing for me. It is very sudden because I applied on 14 Feb. 2014.

It took less than 2 months. exactly, 58 days.

what's the validity date on her visa?? as far as i can remember, the principle applicant must land first to complete the landing process, dependents can join the PA later but within the validity period on the visa.

Congrats everyone which got the Visas.

I just want to know how much it usually take to receive medical after processing?
Mine processing was started in Feb this year, so much time it will take?
I am just asking for average time, I know it depends upon case to case.

Cheers.

case to case, VO to VO, application category etc. are the vitals for determining the time-line.
