Hi Guys,

I also got my status changed to decision made on 27th June. Didn't hear anything from the cic after that. Anyone else in the same boat got any updates?

Thanks

Same here. I send an email asking when should I expect the PPR.
I got the reply today as follow:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please wait until our office request you to submit your passport.

No further action is required by you at this time.

An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

comments?

Guys,

You have to be patient with this. It generally takes 2 months for the request to come. So hang in there.

Hi Poonam,

It takes about 2 months or 8 weeks to get it. If you do not receive the PPR mail by August 2nd then email them asking for it. Mine came in exactly 8 weeks.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Kia. I have to make a move to a different province. Have sold off all my furniture, rented an apartment, etc. I ant to move by August end as I have already made all the arrangements and I am really worried that if it doesn't come on time, I will lose the money paid as security deposit for rent and have also terminated the current lease which expires end of August.

Does anyone know, if faxing them helps expedite the process?

Your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Poonam

Hi Poonam,

You can get canada post to forward all your mail from the old address to the new. They have the service. You could send a fax but it depends on if someone picks it up. Your best bet is mail I think.

Hi Reet,

If your notes say IM visa has been issued then take a print out of the notes and fax it to CPP-Ottawa. or mail them with a scanned copy of the notes highlighting the area where it says IM Visa issue date. Tell them you have not received the PPR mail, did you miss it. My visa was issued on feb 2013 and I got it on July 2013. The COPR stated I have to land before FEb 2014.

Same is with me kia....It states that I have to land before march 2014..I guess email is the best option coz they might not get fax...

Hi Kia,

Thanks a lot for your response. I wasn't aware of the Canada Post mail forwarding services..that's an excellent idea.

However, my problem is not limited to that...I need to give my employers notice and leave on good terms...and everyone is warning me not to let my employers know about my plans of moving unless I complete the entir process by landing.....if I don't get the PPR by end of July I will be screwed...as I have paid for my son's after school care program, security deposit, sold off all my furniture and terminated the lease here....can you and also other members on this forum please advise me what I should do?
