Hey fellow people,

My online tracker shows me "in progress" for my citizenship application, citizenship test status is marked as completed.

I was wondering how long does it take for the status to be change to decision made after the citizenship test is marked complete.

Is there any average amount of time one can shoot for?

if it is the office you mail out your application to, that in my case is Sydney Nova Scotia. I live in Montreal, which is why I thought it is Montreal.

5 to 9 months to oath, depending on your office.

I was about 6 weeks from test to DM - others have been waiting far, far longer. That said, from DM to Oath? I've been waiting over 2 months now, still no signs of life.. :/

they seem to have forgotten about me. Test was passed in September 2021 and no decision made so far.

I applied May 2019 and did the fingerprints twice because of covid 19 situation. I am starting to grow really tired of this wait as I really do not see the point why they would delay it like this.

I am also curious if it ends up getting delayed to May 2022, do I need to do the fingerprints again before they do decision made or oath ceremony?
