Hi,

I had submitted my application on 7th Dec 2015, got Acknowledgment on 9th May 2016. Any idea how long i need to wait for Nomination? (as its more than 3 months elapsed).

OINP applicants worried about DD expiry, there's a good update from forum member rohitbites :-

I had once called the Ontario office two weeks prior to my DD expiration, and told them I was worried and confused as to what will happen if DD expires. The operator told me that they will notify you and you can then send them a new DD. Since it is not the applicant's fault, they won't reject the application. They will keep it on hold till you send them a new DD.

This is the OFFICIAL position on expiration of DD (and other payment options), according to OINP website:

"The OINP will ask that a new payment be submitted within 30 days of notifying you. Your application will maintain its place in the queue. Processing will resume once the OINP receives your new payment."

Thanks @Halima_9ja I see that OINP updated their FAQs yesterday ("Last Modified: May 09, 2016"). Perhaps they added this one anticipating expiring draft problem.

There's lot of newly added info in the FAQs :-
1) For example, the number of 2015 applications grew by 124 per cent over 2014. In January 2016 alone, the OINP received over 1,800 applications..

2) The OINP will continue to process applications already received.

3) The OINP will make every effort to identify those applications in the current inventory where an applicant’s legal status in Canada is at risk of expiring. They will be processed first.

4) Improvements to the OINP application process will be implemented in the coming months – including a move to an online application processing system.

I Just checked with my Bank... My DD is not yet encashed.....
It may take long time (more than a month??) to get my AOR....

“As a result of changes Ontario has made to more closely align the streams of the program with the needs of its labour market, the province has already received the sufficient number of OINP applications to meet its 2016 federal allocation."

Does that mean we will never get AOR?

Does that mean we will never get AOR?

It means they have received numerous applications to fulfill the quota, which has been allocated to Ontario. People are receiving AOR's and all applicants (who applied before mid of Feb) should receive AOR, if application found complete.

Human Capital Priorities (Express Entry)

Ontario stopped sending Notifications of Interest (NOIs) for the OINP Human Capital Priorities (Express Entry) stream effective February 16, 2016.
The OINP will continue to process applications already received.
