If you get any Addl. doc. request, make sure to submit photocopy of each and every IT certification, diploma (or whatever) that you have ever done - irrespective of whether they ask you or not. It will only help to strengthen your application further.

The reason I am saying this is because employment requirement for NOC 2173 expects some sort of formal education in IT.

In addition to this for my NOC i also submitted the competitions i took part and certificate and awards for the same. This is part of. apraisal letters.

So if anyone has taken part in any exhibitions, seminars, conferances etc he should give evidence with certificate of participation.

I also gave Govt of India exam specifically to strengthen my NOC . This type of exams are conducted throuout India which gives certificate fron Govt of India and recognition of your NOC. The exam is conducted by National council for vocational training.and the certificate you get is national certificate in modular employable skills. This will be useful for all those whose education do not match work.

As a fast remedy one can take up short courses and get certificates. Also take some online course which gives certificate for your your NOC.

In short education is not req to match NOC but some link to subject will strengthen the case

What's your NOC ?. What was written in your previous roles & responsibility letter ?. Is your degree/work-exp. in alignment with your NOC ?

Let's say I have a Music Degree, I can only be a musician to be qualified for OINP?

Anyone who has been living the real world, including the officers at OINP knows it's NOT easy to get into the profession that is related to your academic background.

No. You are right. But any officer will doubt if an architect shows work as chartered accountant or an commerce graduate showing work in scientific laboratory. At least some type of course/relation should be connected

The basic logic is they ask for ECA and work exp. So it means there has to be some inter connection or they would ask only one out of the two

If you are a music graduate and working as computer analyst you must show some certificate course done to get a job.thats fair and reasonable as far as NOC 0 A B is concerned

Thanks bestofluck, Digital D All applicants must take a note and submit if OINP asks

By the way bestofluck, Digital D:
The lack of understanding and the the in-sensibilities can jeopardize chances of PR.
I will submit all the diplomas, certificates etc if required by OINP. After 6 years in software engineering it looks a bit strange if some one asks a certificate!!! No choice.
OINP should educate themselves, that people from, arts, commerce, science etc after formal training's make 50% of the work force in
Software design, development, testing, Information systems etc..

the way I see it, they are weaseling out their way with some applicants.. they KNOW they won't meet their target and they don't wat to carry backlog.. the only way to do it for them is to shed off some applications

maged_mmh: What can the applicants do further. They submitted the applications, comply ed with all requirements, met the criterion.
OINP is at liberty to take any decision and it's their prerogative. None of us can question, challenge their decision.
They can deny, reject the applications at any stage of the processing.

We have to wait for their decision and submit the docs if asked.

The last thing OINP would do this.

Does anyone know:
  • when the next draw will be?
  • if the processing time for PR will increase due to the increase in the number of ITAs?

when do we get the nomination certificate after being nominated.
do we get any tracking/ reference number?

Spot on Maged..it is crystal clear that they just wanna prolong the process for some FSW applicants..i mean look at them..it so obvious with the November and October applicants that have been there for a year and all of a sudden after all this time a procedural fairness..another theory is that they want to push the remaining FSW applications of late Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar to be part of the new 2017 allocations and they can certainly do that easily for those but it was kinda hard to do so for those 100ish FSW applications from OCt and Nov...this is no bad news for us last week Dec. applicants we can easily be considered as Jan applicants and i guess we are right there on top of the pile so it won't be bad to wait for a couple more weeks till they get the new quota.. and i am glad they are handing in CEC applicants their nominations quickly..almost done with January CEC applicants..it wouldn't hurt if they send us the additional documents request meanwhile!! I mean a month for the ECA!!! Common it is soooo clear

Looking at the number of PFLs, my frame of mind right now is to think I am one of the unlucky ones who will not get mominated. If nom happens, good for me, if it doesn't, so be it.
