By this week they might complete giving AOR to March applicants. Let us all wait and hope they start with nominations now. All eyes on the OINP's Development in September.

Hi Guys,
I was admitted to hospital for one week due to Jaundice and Hepatitis E ( E is very common and not at all dangerous ).
Will this be a problem post ITA ( medical tests ).

Also, I'm supposed to submit hospital original papers for mediclaim reimbursement.
Should I not submit them for any future request by OINP or CIC ?
please help

@patnikrishna...Hope you have recovered completely.

Well there should be no problem as far as the medicals are concerned. you can take the reports with you regarding the illness.
( as mentioned "any medical reports or test results that you have regarding previous or existing medical conditions
"
I do not know about Mediclaim that they will ever inquire about it or not. Take a suggestion from others.

if you're seriously worried, a costly suggestion would be to go through the medical as if you're applying under ITA and see what would be the outcome (ask the Doctor not to send any forms -just a simulation run)

And, no, CIC doesn't need anything but their own panel member report, other medical reports have no bearing with them

thanks @bestofluck, just taking rest for another 2 weeks.
I'm just worried that it I submit original papers to medical reimbursement and later OINP or CIC requires it then it shouldn't be an issue. I'll obviously take photocopies and scan originals but not sure if original hard copies are required.

That will not work. Just read this

"The panel physician does not make the final decision about your medical exam. CIC makes that decision. If there is a problem with your medical exam, the visa office will contact you in writing."

No use of going through medicals right now.

my doctor said that in later tests, there will be no issue as Hepatitis E is self limiting and will not show up later tests and also that it is quite common ( comes through contaminated water or food ).
I'm just worried if I submit originals for reimbursement and then OINP or CIC won't accept photocopies or scanned originals but only hard copies of original.
just preparing for worst case as we've seen some silly reasons for rejection from OINP before.

that's what I said, no need for reports - he may yet consult them and see what they'd advise independently from CIC

you just need to carry your blood reports or any reports. I dont think you have to submit originals for mediclaim. you can take a copy of blood report from the lab right now. They will give you another copy. All reports can be taken as duplicate. Send the duplicate to mediclaim as word duplicate is written on the copy. keep originals for IRCC.

you don't need any reports except for chronic illness

Panel Dr can only guess it. The final readings are done at their side. Panel Dr is not authorized for any readings.

unfortunately I've claimed for reimbursement before for a family member and every reimbursement requires originals ( both hospital discharge papers and blood tests ). even talked to mediclaim guys and they confirmed it's originals every time.
I'm thinking to not claim and forego these hospital charges of 50K and keep originals to avoid any issues later on.
