I confirmed with my ICICI branch that if i re-validate they will not issue a new DD, and they say that since my DD was already accepted (OINP does not mention about my DD about to expire) and sent to this branch in india to encash, hence i do not need to get a New DD or ask OINP to send the old one.

@sam_1011, Good for you, I guess you should follow what your ICICI branch is telling you.

My ICICI bank draft was payable by "Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)" so perhaps it would be settled in Canada itself and would not travel back to issuing branch in India for encashment.

@All, URGENT!!

Need your valuable suggestions,

i got my AOR on May 26th, though my DD was valid till 9th June 2016 (according to ICICI), OINP did not en-cash it. Nothing was mentioned in the AOR Email regarding the DD getting expired. even the cash was not deducted from my account, got a call from my Bank saying that i can re-validate the same DD if i just submit a xerox of the original.

Should i get it re-validated and state the same to OINP over email?

or

Should i wait for the Email from OINP asking me to send a new DD and then proceed?


oh.. and one more thing my EE profile expired on june 2nd , i created a new one, linked it to the existing one and send the details to OINP.

Don't forget that IRCC indicated a draw size of 2000-2500 ITAs every 15 days starting Nov-Dec 2016.

So may be that's the game plan, OINP will release nominations in bulk when IRCC starts with bigger draw so CRS will remain static or else CRS would have have fallen rapidly.

Anyways, this is all speculation and wishful thinking, OINP doesn't look that capable to think and plan this much.

where are those 2000+ draws?? now they're barely 800

A must watch for people waiting in Express Entry pool.
The video was recorded on May 7, 2016 at Newcomers Canada Fair, held at the Shaw Conference Centre, in Edmonton and the Speaker works for IRCC (CIC).
Highlights :
1) Current draw size is kept low as CIC still has backlogs of paper based PR applications received before Express Entry.
2) The paper based PR application backlogs are expected to be cleared by Sept/ Oct 2016.
3) Once the backlog is cleared, Express Entry will be the only source of Economic stream PR applications.
4) This will result in higher draw size of 2000-2500 ITAs per draw.
5) ITA cut-off scores will "likely drop below 400" to accommodate higher draw size.
Focus on 2 mins clip between 16:30-18:30 for clarification on above points.

According to the above , the scores will drop towards end of this year. Am not sure how authentic the link and video is but we'll have to wait and watch. I wish it comes true soon though.
