I had the same error while submitting the file for my spouse on dec 26 and I called them on Jan 9 and they confirmed that they have received the file and gave me a temp file number. I would say call them and confirm by giving them the file details and ask for the temp file number if submitted.

just called IRCC about the file status and they told me that I could expect the AOR in the next week as they are working on November last week prospective files as of now.

I submitted the application(Family Class-Outland) to sponsor my spouse on December 21, 2023 but haven't received any email related to application submission yet. I know AOR can take 1-2 months but I was expecting a system generated email to at least confirm that the application has been submitted.
Or, am I wrong in expecting that and we don't receive such emails and would directly receive AOR?
Please advice.
