the applicant and sponsor passed on the day? in most cases, there are months apart. can you show your full timeline?
this is inland applications. Usually eligibility is completed for both PA and sponsor on the same day. Some applications might be different.

We got our Spousal sponsorship Feb 5 and Approved in Principle Feb 15. was a bit worried, but it ended up being fine!

Eligibility confirmation just means the sponsor was approved as a sponsor. Up until that point, they have not even started looking at the PA. They always process the Sponsor and then the PA.
Oh, that's even when the PA got an email stating they've met the eligibility requirements? We got an email to the sponsor and PA on the same day. Would make sense for them to take longer though.

We got the PA eligibility but we didn't get the SA yet. So not in all cases they do the SA first!
