Updated- 16th Jan 2024 LPP completed
18th Jan 2024 - Citizenship ceremony not started.how long after this for Oath? Is there anything I should be aware or mindful about?

Congratulations, did your background check completed on Jan 5 , so you waited for background almost since test last April

Yes, I did wait since April 2023 for any sort of an update. Just got the ghost update on 28th Oct 2023 and that’s it.

do you know why your BG took that long to complete? was your application stuck at security clearance if yes then do you know when was security start date?

honestly, I have no idea why it took so long. I checked my GCMS notes and it states it was done a year ago (Feb 2023) but I guess they just didn’t update it on the portal.it was done on 15th feb 2023. It got updated on the portal on 5th Jan’24

Many people in the forum are waiting for 6 months too. If you lucky you might get a new date within 2-3 months.

my LPP was completed in November last year and had an interview with the IRCC agent for the verification of identity/documents on December 11. I've been waiting for the invitation for the oath ceremony since then. does anyone know how long does it takes to get an oath invite after LPP completion?
